When I first decided that I had a window of opportunity to take early retirement and leave my "day" job, I signed up for a home study
course at Penn Foster in art. Going to school full time was not an option and I needed some basic training. This was a
good move for me, I learned what I needed and more.
My working history has been primarily in the technical field. I did
my time in the Army and used my GI bill to attend Albuquerque TVI for machine trades. From there I wound up as a mechanical
designer and did that for 20+ years until my window opened.
I enjoy painting anything that takes my fancy, but I love the local
landscapes the most.
I work mostly in acrylic but will mix it up a bit depending on the subject.
